I received a Mandolin from a friend today…he asked if I could repair it, so I’m going to fix it up. A guy over at the MyLesPaul Luthier’s Corner (Brian) ID’d the Mandolin for me as a Regal – looks to be a Mandolin probably constructed in the 1920s-1930s, so this thing is 80-90 years old. It’s made of Birch, and has and ebony bridge and rosewood fretboard. It looks quite badly damaged but I think I can repair quire a bit of the damage. I’ll post my repair progress here over the next few days as this Mandolin gets fixed.
